317L is an austenitic stainless steel. Mainly used for butterfly valve shafts, butterfly valve shaft sleeves, etc.
317L (00Cr19Ni13Mo3, UNS S31726) alloy is austenitic stainless steel based on molybdenum. Compared with conventional stainless steel, 317L alloy has higher ductility, stress corrosion resistance, compressive strength and high temperature resistance.

317L (00Cr19Ni13Mo3, SUS317L) alloy is austenitic stainless steel based on molybdenum. Compared with conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as 304 alloy, it has stronger resistance to chemical corrosion. In addition, compared with conventional stainless steel, 317L alloy has higher ductility, stress corrosion resistance, compressive strength and high temperature resistance. It is low carbon grade or L grade, this grade has anti-sensitization performance during welding and heat treatment.

| Types 317 (S31700), 317L (S31703) are molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels which are more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as Type 304. These alloys also offer higher creep, stress-to-rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperature. In addition to excellent corrosion resistance and strength properties, the Types 316, 316L, 317, and 317L Cr-Ni-Mo alloys also provide the excellent fabricability and formability which are typical of the austenitic stainless steels. | |||||||||||||||
