China Manufacturer Special Steel High Quality Nickel Alloy Hastelloy C-2000

Hastelloy C2000 is a Hastelloy material that is resistant to high temperature and corrosion. It is the most comprehensive corrosion-resistant alloy with excellent uniform corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments. Compared with C-276 alloy, it has excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance and better resistance to local corrosion.
Hastelloy C-2000 is the latest NI-CR-MO alloy. It is based on C4 alloy to increase the chromium content, and adds copper, which greatly improves the alloy’s oxidation resistance and the corrosion resistance of reducing media. It is currently in this series. The best alloy resistant to sulfuric acid corrosion, but the resistance to intergranular corrosion is not as good as C4.

Genenal Introduction
Hastelloy C-2000  UNS N06200, Mostversatile, corrosion resistant alloy with excellent resistance touniform corrosion in oxidizing or reducing environments. Excellentresistance to stress corrosion cracking and superior resistance tolocalized corrosion as compared to C-276 alloy.

This new material was designed to resist an extensive range of corrosive chemicals, including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric acids. Unlike previous Ni-Cr-Mo alloys, which were optimized for use in either oxidizing or reducing acids, C-2000 alloy extends corrosion resistance in both types of environments. The combination of molybdenum and copper (at levels of 16 and 1.6 wt. %, respectively) provide the outstanding resistance to reducing media, while oxidizing acid resistance is provided by a high chromium content (23 wt. %).

Application:
From an engineering viewpoint, C-2000 alloy offers significant potential toward production improvement in plant operations. When used in place of the established Ni-Cr-Mo alloys, the enhanced resistance to corrosion in certain media results in longer equipment life (for a given thickness of material), while providing a greater degree of safety during an upset condition. This increase in corrosion performance versatility supports the industry trend toward multiple uses of equipment (reactors, heat exchangers, valves, pumps, etc.) to gain a greater return on the capitalized expense. For example, a reactor could be handling a hydrochloric acid-based product mixture, then used in another operation which may rely on the use of a nitric acid-based process. Because of its versatility, C-2000 alloy is the best equipped nickel-based alloy to handle this degree of variance in process streams.
