Hastelloy N is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy composed of nickel, molybdenum, chromium and other elements, with a nickel content of about 72%. Hastelloy N has good oxidation resistance, and the melting point temperature range is 1300~1600°F (704 to 871°C). In more than two years, the N value of Hastelloy N will involve the most useful fluoride in high-temperature environments. Hastelloy N has good oxidation resistance in the air. The metallographic examination shows that the elements in alloy N remain in the range of 1100 to 1600° in the solid solution, and the tensile test has no tendency to embrittlement.
Hastelloy N has good weldability and can be welded easily. The alloy's thermal working range is 1600 and 2150°F (871 to 1177°C), and it has been successfully extruded and further processed into high-quality seamless steel pipe manufacturing, welded and stretched pipes. After solution heat treatment, Hastelloy N alloy parts can be hot-worked or cold-worked.
