Hastelloy G-35 is an upgraded product of G-30. It has excellent corrosion resistance in the wet-process phosphoric acid production environment widely used in fertilizer manufacturing. Under this environment, it performs far better than G-30 and stainless steel. . It can also resist local corrosion of chloride-containing media and chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. The high chromium content makes it excellent in resistance to corrosion by other oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and nitric acid-containing mixtures. The higher molybdenum content makes it have moderate corrosion resistance to reducing acids. Unlike other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, Hastelloy G-35 can resist the corrosion of dealloying elements of hot sodium hydroxide very well.
