Aerospace Forging

Due to the high strength and low plasticity, larger forging equipment is generally required, lower deformation speed is selected, the deformation temperature control range is narrow, and the process requirements are strict and difficult.

Production Process and Quality Inspection of Aerospace Forging

production process of forgings: 1. Sawing and blanking: Saw and blank according to the material task list strictly, and make inspection records, and then batch sawing can be done after qualified. 2. Heating: Products of different materials and different furnace numbers cannot be heated in the same furnace. 3. Forging: The operator performs forging according to the drawings, and uses an infrared thermometer to control the forging temperature of the forging during the forging process. 4. Heat treatment: check thermocouples and temperature instruments periodically. Strictly follow the process parameters such as the heating rate, holding temperature, holding time and reasonable cooling methods stipulated by the heat treatment process. 5. Machining: production and processing according to the drawings, and mass production after the first inspection is passed. During the processing, inspectors conduct inspections to inspect the processed forging products. 6. Inspection before packaging: A full-time inspector shall inspect the machined forging size, surface quality, and identification strictly according to the drawings, and then perform PMI re-inspection on the product to prevent material confusion. 7. Packaging process: anti-rust treatment (oiling, dipping, etc.) according to customer requirements, operator self-inspection as required, full-time packaging inspector, first-piece inspection, patrol inspection, and inspection of anti-rust treatment and surface quality as required Process inspection, enter the packing process if qualified, otherwise rework processing.

Inspectors identify and isolate unqualified forging products, fill out the unqualified handling form and submit it to authorized personnel for processing, strictly follow the unqualified product control procedures to ensure that unqualified forgings are identified and controlled, and prevent their unintended use or delivery .
